KIRIBAN. IT COMES.
Get me a screenshot of my 123,456 and I'll draw you something. We'll figure it out when we get there.
Moar updates to come later.Okay here are your updates.
School has been going Pretty Darn Well. I've gotten midterm grades back from most of my classes, and it is looking like an "A" semester, which fills me with unspeakable joy after my Not "A" semester last spring. I got a perfect on my last history (101) test, which blew my mind since I ended up guessing on like 4 of the multiple choice (out of 20) but also made me INSANELY HAPPY; I am pretty sure I flipped the heck out for about 20 minutes when I got that test back.
However! I need to write two papers by Monday, and I have not started studying up for either of them yet. So. Cough. >.>
Moving right along - I have discovered the joy that is eating out with friends. There's this cool little cafe near my community college that has an ENTIRE MENU OF CHEESECAKES and I plan to
try them all.Only problem is that I am poor. Even though stuff there is very reasonably priced, I do not have great gobs of money just lying around, especially not since I just signed up for my spring classes and the total comes to more than half of my total moneys, not counting OUTRAGEOUSLY PRICED TEXTBOOKS. And also especially not since it is turning into winter over here and Baskin Robbins gave me ZERO HOURS THIS WEEK. None. Nada.
Zip. I am distraught and filled with angsty angst of angstness.
However!! The old geezers who pay me to play with computers have contacted me again recently. I got to spend last Saturday morning working on a computer that is older than I am trying to find a file that didn't exist. And getting
paid for it. These geezers pay me outrageous sums of money to eat their cookies and write stuff down judiciously and then put it into Excel, so I Am Not Complaining.
Just to give you a taste of the ridiculousness of this job, here is sort of how a phone conversation home went:
"Hey, mom? Do we have a computer at home that has Excel and a floppy drive? We do? Awesome. Yeah, I need to bring like a set of about 5 floppies over because someone stuck everything having to do with Excel in the recycling bin on this computer, so I need to open all the files that might conceivably be the missing inventory list. If I can't find it, he'll just go looking through about 20 million old boxes in his house for a hard copy, which I will have to re-type from scratch, after we reinstall Excel which will be a TRICK because we have looked ALL OVER THIS BUILDING and cannot find the installer disc. Yeah. I love you too. Don't eat my caramel apples."Yes, caramel apples. I made some last Friday. They were
DELICIOUS except that the caramel crystalized after the first apple, so two of them were really yuck and then we reheated the caramel and just poured it all over the last apple which was the most delicious thing ever in the history of ever. I bought more apples today. ^____^
I ALSO HAVE DISCOVERED THE JOY THAT IS MLIA. Mmmmhmm. Been submitting amusing anecdotes of late; furthest any has gotten was 244 positive votes. I think that one was about the children on whose faces I painted ninjas for Halloween. I also submitted one about the ninjas that I routinely draw on the white boards at college, but apparently it was not average enough. I did find out on Monday that the people in the class after mine have been
taking pictures of my ninjas with their cell phones when the battle scenes are epic enough. If any of them end up on the internet in a place where I can access them, I will share them with you. xD
OTHER THINGS I HAVE BEEN DRAWING: Random watercolor assignments (some of which look Pretty Darn Awesome and some of which are Crap on a Stick [or in this case on $15 paper]); Random Illustrator assignments (which just take ENTIRELY TOO LONG and look ENTIRELY TOO BLAH); and Adel for

because he and I are Teaming Up for

^___^ I shall be uploading pretty pictures of Adel soon I think - we are working on a reference sheet. I also might be drawing more neopets crap soon, if I can find the time - there are some days coming up that I could totally get in the gallery for, and also my latest comic has been held over, so it should be in within the next month.
Also! I never got back my thumb drive. I call down an eternal pox upon the terrible terrible girl who stole mine. I ended up buying a $15 one a month ago or whenever it was that she stole the other one. And recently it
went through the washing machine in my jeans pocket. I am supremely impressed that it still works, and supremely unimpressed that I managed to let that happen.
So, TL;DR peoples - School's cool, Work sucks, I am broke, art is happening, I like food, and old people are awesome (especially on MLIA).
If you did read that all, though, you can have a cookie. And at least three people in assorted colleges throughout the US know that I make Very Good Cookies indeed. -eyes Jay, Cheryl, and Nova- I HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOY YOUR SNICKERDOODLES AND ASSORTED DESTRESSERS. ^___^
